Seventh grade is challenging for any twelve-year-old. It is even harder for Carl Lamont because he turns into a ravenous werewolf whenever the moon is full. On the run and wanted by the police, Carl and his father flee to Blairstown, New Jersey, Carl’s deceased mother’s hometown—the one place she begged them never to venture. He finally has a permanent home and friends. Everything should be perfect. But this beautiful town hides a nightmarish secret. People vanish, never to be seen again. Strange creatures howl in the night. Carl begins to suspect there are other werewolves in town. Unlike him, these werewolves love hunting humans and Carl’s family is next. To protect his family Carl must choose: run away again or embrace the monster lurking within.
